Hong Kong: Technology ImplicationsThis is a featured page

Web 2.0 Start Ups

While Hong Kong netizens have been quick to adopt foreign Web 2.0 applications like YouTube and Facebook (See Internet Landscape), the creation of home-grown Web 2.0 applications has been slow to catch on. An article in China Daily suggests that the relatively small market in Hong Kong does not justify the amount of time and money that needs to be invested in starting up new Web 2.0 programs.
