#1 Geography

Geography

With a total area of 3,287,263 sq km, India is the seventh-largest country by geographical area, the second-most populous country, and the most populous democracy in the world. New Delhi is the nation's capital city.

India occupies much of the South Asian subcontinent, and the Indian mainland stretches eastward from Pakistan in the west to Bangladesh in the east. On the north, India is bordered by China, Nepal, and Bhutan. The Indian Ocean to the south, the Arabian Sea to the west, and the Bay of Bengal to the east form the country’s coastline.

Including of the countries that borders India, Sri Lanka, Tibet, and Maldives are known as Neighbouring Countries of India.
