As social media usage in businesses is still in its infancy in Singapore, examples are few and far in between, much less to determine their success. There are, however, some corporate blogs that look promising and some that require more improvement.
Blogging Right
In general, the following blogs have taken the leap forward to start engaging their potential customers in the blogosphere with frequent updates. What they need in order to succeed would be to leverage on their blogs for social media marketing, rather than just treating it as a publishing or 2-way communications platform.
- Pitstop Cafe - a more familiar name among the many examples.

Yesterday I passed by (if I'm not wrong) the air force military camp at Changi and saw their "Notice for the Day" saying something like "Be Vigilant, don't breech security through blogging." As my friend explained to me, apparently alot of guys blog about their army experience thus causing quite a stir. Which, resulted in a special unit just to monitor the army dudes' blogs in case they leak out sensitive issues.
Do you find this valuable?
